As part of measures to cushion the effects of the hardship people are currently passing through in Kwara State, the State Government has distributed food items to over 100 vulnerable women and widows in the State.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Opeyemi Oluwakemi Afolashade, who supervised the distribution of the food items at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Ilorin, lauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for sponsoring the programme and for his continued efforts at making life bearable for all, particularly the vulnerable women.
Hon. Afolashade, however, appealed to members of the public to be patient with the present administration, explaining that the government is working round the clock to fix the economy and cushion the effects of petroleum subsidy removal on the populace.
The Commissioner highlighted several laudable programmes by the AbdulRazaq-led administration, which are aimed at making life more meaningful to the citizens, most especially women and children.
