Kogi State Government Did Not Sack 25 Political Officials

The attention of the Kogi State Government has been drawn to a baseless and mischievous report alleging that the State Government sacked 25 government officials over their alleged ties to certain political figures.

Ordinarily, such blatant falsehood would not deserve a response. However, its circulation in some quarters makes it necessary to set the record straight.

For clarity, only one Special Adviser was relieved of his duties, strictly on the basis that his services were no longer required. No other aide was removed, and certainly not for reasons related to political affiliation or association.

It is important to emphasize that the Kogi State Government has no political dispute with anyone. The administration is committed to separating governance from politics, and its singular focus is the continued development and greatness of Kogi State.

The Government of Kogi State holds Hon. James Abiodun Faleke in the highest esteem and maintains a cordial and productive relationship with the distinguished federal lawmaker, a proud and illustrious son of Kogi State.

We therefore urge the public to disregard the falsehood being spread by individuals whose stock-in-trade is mischief and unnecessary tension.

Kogi State remains peaceful, united, and firmly on the path of progress.

Kingsley Femi Fanwo
Hon. Commissioner for Information and Communications
