The 40th Anniversary of the IJEDA EREGBA Cultural Group, Ogori, marks a significant milestone worthy of celebration, reflection, and deep appreciation. For four decades, the group has remained a steadfast custodian of Ogori’s rich cultural heritage, promoting indigenous values, traditions, music, dance, and communal identity with dignity and pride.
Founded with the noble objective of preserving and showcasing the cultural essence of the Ogori people, IJEDA EREGBA has played an invaluable role in fostering unity among its members and strengthening intergenerational ties.
Through consistent cultural performances, community engagements, and participation in festivals and social events, the group has ensured that Ogori traditions remain vibrant and relevant in a rapidly changing world.
Over the years, IJEDA EREGBA Cultural Group has not only served as a platform for cultural expression but also as a symbol of resilience, discipline, and collective responsibility. Its contributions to social cohesion and cultural education have earned the group admiration both within Ogori land and beyond.
As the group celebrates this landmark 40th anniversary, it is important to commend the founding members, patrons, and all members whose dedication and sacrifices have sustained the vision of the organization. Their commitment has laid a solid foundation upon which future generations can build.
It is my sincere hope that this anniversary celebration will inspire renewed commitment to the ideals upon which IJEDA EREGBA was established, while encouraging greater participation from the younger generation. May the group continue to flourish as a beacon of cultural pride, unity, and excellence for many decades to come.
Congratulations to the IJEDA EREGBA Cultural Group, Ogori, on this historic achievement.
With best wishes and warm greetings from the United States of America.
