Ogori Students’ Honours Prominent Indigenes with Distinguished Public Service Award at 2025 0SA Award Night and Talent Hunt

The Ogori Students Association in Ogori-Magongo local government area has conferred its highest award to selected prominent indigines for their contributions to the social economic development of the area.

This took place at the weekend in the 2025 0SA Award Night and Talent Hunt held at the Civic Centre, Ogori in Ogori Magongo local government area. The National President, Comrade Oluwatoyosi Amurawaye while announcing the awardees described the nominees as indigines of Ogori who in 2024 contributed immensely to the socio-economic development of the Ogori which he argued is “God’s own land”

The list of awardees included the National President of Ogori Descendant Union, Revd. Dr. Gabriel Aiso; Hon. Prince Bode Ogunmola, the Minority Whip of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prof. Iyela Ajayi, the Executive Secretary, National Secondary Education Board; Mr. Kehinde Anuwe O, the Chief Executive Officer of the FGN Power Company Limited and Hon (Mrs) Charity Ijese, the Special Adviser to the present Kogi state Governor on Youth and Women Mobilisation. Others are, the Former Press Secretary to the Kogi state Governor, Hon (Mrs) Petra Akinti-Oyegbule, and Mr. Ayokunle Jamgbadi, the former Vice President of the Ogori Descendant Union an education administrator with the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja.

Dr. Reuben Ayeni and Capt. Timi Iyela both promising young men of Ogoriland also made the list. The list was also made up of other philanthropists like Mrs. Eunice Kemisi Odaibo Tolufashe, the initiator and promoter of the HealthCare Essentials, Ogori Magongo, Chief (Mrs) Felicia Ochefije Agbaire, an Ogorian based in Abuja; and Andrew Chimere Okah, as the entrepreneur of the year

The 2025 0SA Award Night and Talent Hunt was part of the one-week activities lined-up by the students of the area tagged OSA HOMECOMING 2025 celebrations aimed at refocusing the students on good virtues and the promoting of unity in Ogori land.
