The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf has commiserated with the people of Lokoja Local Government Area over the death of the Education Secretary in the area, Kasim Abdulmalik Ndagi.
He described the death as shocking, stressing that as a mortal, he had no reason to question the sudden demise as Allah has written on every soul that when it is time, they would taste death.
The Speaker, who made this public through a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed, noted that the death is particularly shocking to him because he had had an interaction with the late Education Secretary just under 24 hours ago.
While further sending his condolences to the family of the late ES, he enjoined them to be comforted by the life of service that Ndagi lived, and urged them to continue to pray for him.
He personally prayed to Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus, and enjoined the people of Lokoja Local Government and the state to remember the deceased in their prayers.
