
The Special Adviser to the kogi state Governor on Energy, Hon Otaitie Eminefo Akerejola has described the just concluded council polls as peaceful and devoid of intimidation from any quarter’s.
He stated this while speaking to newsmen at his country home Ogori in Ogori/Magongo local government area where he casted his vote.
He commended the electoral umpire for adequate preparation which did not only provide a level playing field for all candidates but ensured the smooth conduct of the election.
Hon Akerejola also praised the security operative deployed for the exercise saying their professional conduct saw to the orderliness during and after the election.
He maintained that the way and manner voter turned out to cast their votes and their peaceful and orderly conduct was a sign that democracy has developed.
Similarly, a chieftain of the APC, and former Member of the state House of Assembly for Ogori/Magongo constituency, Hon Gabriel Daudu said the electoral process was normal and fast as it goes to show that the kosiec had put in adequate preparation for the election.
He commended the electorate for their maturity in coming out in their numbers to vote.
The APC chieftain maintained that candidates of the party for the election had acceptance from the people as they campaigned vigorously for the election.
