KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT RESTATES COMMITMENT TO RURAL DEVELOPMENT

COMMISSION TOWN HALLS,CLINIC,SKILL ACQUISITION CENTERS AND SCHOOL IN IJUMU LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The Kogi State Government has restated its commitment towards making life worthy in the rural areas, stating that it major priority is the well being of the people.

The Executive Governor of Kogi State,Alh. Yahaya Bello gave the assurance at the commissioning of rehabilitated and constructed projects in Ijumu Local Government, Saying the present administration would not rest until the well being of its people in the grassroots is improved upon.

The Governor who was represented by the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Council and Kogi State ALGON Chairman,Hon. Taufiq Isa praised the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency for it’s numerous contribution to the developmental strides of the New Direction Government.

The Council Chairman explained that the numerous projects executed across the state by the agency has brought the dividends of democracy closer to the grassroots and contributed immensely to realization of the New Direction Blueprint of His Exellency, Governor Yahaya Bello.

The Chairman commended the Executive Governor of Kogi State,Alh. Yahaya Bello and General Manager of the agency, Mallam Momoh Dauda for prioritizing the needs of vulnerable groups and communities, noting that Mallam Dauda has justified his appointment through the agency’s supported projects. While urging the agency not to relent efforts at providing for communities and groups, he appealed for more projects to be situated in the local government.

The Kogi State ALGON Chairman urged the people to sustain their support for the present Administration to help create an enabling environment for more dividends of democracy and called on them to protect the projects against vandals.

General Manager of Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency, Mallam Momoh Dauda commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his support to the agency and attributed the successes of the agency to Governor Bello’s commitment to developing rural Communities.

He commended the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government for been a true representative of his people while eulogizing him for always standing for what is right.

Projects inaugurated are a rehabilitated town hall and Goodness Association Skill Acquisition Center in Ayetoro Gbede, Health Centre and two blocks of classroom in Iluagba Gbede and Rehabilitated Agoh town hall and Agoh Skill Acquisition Center in Ayegunle Gbede.

The Chairman also supports the vulnerable people who owns the Goodness Association Skill Acquisition Center in Ayetoro Gbede with the sum of fifty thousands naira (50,000), A sum of two hundred thousands naira (#200,000) for the purchasing of public address system in Agoh town hall, Ayegunle Gbede and One Hundred thousands naira (#100,000) for the equipping of drugs in the health center inaugurated in Iluagba Gbede and immediate deployment of health staffs from the Local Government.
