We’re not part of Blackmail on Gov. Bello , Coalition of Political Parties Says

The Coalition of Political Parties for GYB /CEDO has disassociated its self from the CNPP’S write up condemning the character and personality of Kogi State governor Alhaji yahaya Bello.

The group also cautioned CNPP to desist from unnecessary blackmail aimed at attracting cheap attention or popularity.

This was contained in statement signed by the Chairman of CPP, Dr Sanni Shuaibu Teidi and Secretary Hon. Ibrahim Itodo and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Tuesday.

The statement said any right thinking person knows that our Governor has proven himself beyond reasonable doubt, saying they were all aware of the challenges of insecurity, hunger and all other criminal vices that has bedeviled this country as a whole.

“Kogi state is not an exception, rather the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello has proactively delt with security problems and we can proudly say that Kogi is far better in this area than other states of the federation.

“Inflation of all products that was referred to is not under the purview of his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, but a general economic challenges at the moment in Nigeria.

“What is sacrosanct for government to do in this area is to create enabling environment conducive for businesses to thrive, which this administration has done by his proactiveness in tackling insecurity in all ramifications.

“CNPP should take into cognizance all the sectors of the economy and it’s
variables before referring to the Governor as Childish, mark you, whether you like it not Alhaji
Yahaya Bello is the Governor of this state at the moment, and moral, decency and decorum should be applied inspite of our political differences , this is politics taken too far.

“The safety of Kogi State and Unity that we have enjoyed through EBIGO principle of administration is unique in the new direction policy, the coalition of political parties I championed can not call our Governor childish because we believed in his capacity to deliver and he has proven himself in leadership.

The Coalition appealed to members of CNPP to criticize maturely by proffering solutions to governance which is constructive, not to smear the character of a leader , stressing that what goes around comes around especially in politics.

“The coalition of political parties that endorsed his Excellency in the 2019 Governorship election, disassociates herself from the CNPP’S write up, we
are focused on this administration’s achievement to provide dividends of
democracy to the electorates.

“Kogi state is our own, the earlier we cooperate with the leadership at the
moment for proper socio economic development the better for all of us” they said
