Indigenes of Ogori -Magongo in the Federal Teaching Hospital, FTH, Lokoja ,held their end of year Get-together with a charge for more commitment that will make a difference in service.

Giving the charge at the event, was the Chairman of Ogori Descendants’ Union, ODU, Lokoja Branch,Mr. William Ogunmola.He commended the unity of purpose and oneness displayed by the Ogori-Magongo workers in the hospital.

He urged them to make it a point of duty to be part of their various community’s Associations within Lokoja by identifying with them and attending their meetings, regularly.

Earlier in his welcome address, the acting chairman of the group, Mr Godwin Are, appreciated God for spearing the lives of members from the beginning of the year to the end.

He called for continued love and unity amongst the indigenes of the two Communities of Ogori and Magongo who are working in the Hospital and by extension the people of the Local Government, stressing that God had destined both communities to be together and as such,they should be united and exhibit love amongst them.

Also speaking, a member of the group,Mrs Grace Akande, emphasised that unity has no boundaries. She thus,urged members to always keep in touch with one another not only when at work, but always.

Akande, used the occasion to commend Mrs Bose Ogbodo, and others those she said continually rendered assistance to indigenes of the area when ever they had reasons to visit the hospital for treatment.She therefore, called on members to emulate such gestures to fellow indigenes.

This year’s celebration is the first of it’s kind by Ogori -Magongo working in the Hospital.
