Comrade Olayemi noted that Mopamuro Local Government first produced a representative in Yagbaland at the National Assembly and was supported by Yagba East and Yagba West adding that the same people who are presently agitating for Mopamuro today were the same people that went against Henry Abimbola and Olafemi Folorunsho in 2019 and 2023 respectively, therefore condemn their recent selfish moves for agitating for same Mopa-Amuro today.
He however said the group are not in support of any particular candidate, but noted that they are only in support of a true democratic process. “A good representative doesn’t have to come from zoning or a particular place, giving an example of Elder Leke Abejide who he said did not just pay for students of Alu alone but paid WAEC fees for all students in Yagbaland”.
He however called on the good people of Yagbaland to discard and disregard the selfish agenda from those elders who have soiled their hands and not trusted by the people.
“We will not hesitate to expose them, if they do not desist from their parochial and selfish interest”, he strssed.
