On Wednesday 3rd, September 2025, a stakeholders’ delegation from Ibaji Local Government Area, led by the distinguished 
Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and the member representing Ibaji State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, 
conducted a sensitization visit to the INEC office in Onyedega. The purpose of the visit was to advocate for increased voter registration in the ongoing nationwide exercise.
The advocacy team, in collaboration with INEC officials, embarked on a community-wide tour of Onyedega. During the tour, they engaged with various citizens and community groups, with the Deputy Speaker emphasizing the critical importance of participating in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) process.
This outreach initiative, spearheaded by the constituency’s own representative, highlighted that a high voter turnout in the registration exercise is the first and most vital step toward effective democratic participation.
The message resonated that securing a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) empowers every eligible citizen to exercise their fundamental right to vote and contribute to the election of their leaders.
The visit was a resounding success, fostering a renewed sense of civic responsibility among the residents of Onyedega.
