A renowned businessman, Alhaji Sani Buhari Daura, is dead
The 89-year-old businessman died in Dubai in the early hours of Sunday, according to reports.
He was from the same town as President Muhammadu Buhari.
In January 1932, the renowned businessman was born in Daura, Katsina State.
He was the owner of Standard Construction Company Limited and Chairman of the Bayajida Group until his death.
He received his Islamic education from his father, the Kbadi of Daura, and later enrolled in Daura Elementary School in 1938.
In 1962, he founded Bayajida Amenity Trading Company, his first business venture in Kano.
After eight years, the company was renamed Bayajida Nigeria Limited.
In 2003, he was awarded the Officer of the Order of the Niger.
