
The Permanent Secretary of Kogi State Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr Ebenezer Adurodija, has officially handed over to the Director of Administration, Mr. Eleojo Agada.
Delivering his valedictory speech, Mr. Adurodija expressed gratitude to the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for the opportunity to serve in that capacity and Hon. Kingsley Fanwo for his leadership style, which he noted, has been so inspiring.
He also appreciated the management and entire staff of the Ministry for their support, prayers, and love throughout his tenure as Permanent Secretary, which made the work easier for him.
He encouraged the Acting Permanent Secretary to be professional in discharging his duties, stressing that he should carry the management team along in decisions in order to have a seamless administration.
According to him, the importance of unity and team work cannot be under estimated and charged the Acting Permanent Secretary not to be carried away by the position or use the office to witch-hunt the subordinates, but rather, use it to serve humanity with utmost sincerity.
In his address, the Acting Permanent Secretary, Mr. Eleojo Agada commended the Chief Servant of the State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman, for his unwavering commitment towards infrastructural and human capital developments across all the sectors of the state.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Hon. Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo for his humility and leadership style, describing Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija as a performer and unifier, noting that his excellent performance in the Ministry is widely acknowledged.
He appreciated the management and entire staff of the Ministry and requested for their maximum support and cooperation to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services for the development of the State, promising to carry everyone along with special attention to welfare of the staff.
He enjoined the Outgoing Permanent Secretary to always make his door open for advice where necessary as the Technical Assistant to the Ministry.
Highlight of the event was the signing, handing, and taking over of official documents from the Outgoing Permanent Secretary to the Acting Permanent Secretary.
Mr Ebenezar Adurodija’s retirement from service followed his successful completion of thirty-five years in service in line with the civil service rules.
