Gov. Ododo Commissions CNG Tricycles, Assures Drastic Fall in Transportation Fares

Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo has described the introduction of CNG powered Tricycles in the State as a deliberate efforts geared towards reducing the harsh effect of the subsidy removal.

Gov. Ododo made the disclosure while receiving the first batch of the 50 CNG Tricycles allocated for Kogi State, described the initiative as a deliberate efforts to cushion the harsh effect of the subsidy removal.

Gov. Ododo speaking at the commissioning of first phase of 19 of the 50 CNG Tricycles donated to National Association of Tricycles owners motorcycle owners and Riders Association, (NACTOMORAS), by the Federal Government,
under the Presidential Initiative, praised the Tinubu’s administration for always making the well-being of citizens first.

Represented by the Commissioner For Transport, Hon. Atuluku Victor Levi, said the Presidential initiative will help drastically reduce the high transport fare associated with the fuel subsidy removal in the State.

Gov. Ododo praised President Tinubu for his lofty policies geared towards reducing the impact of the subsidy removal on the people, described the present administration as one with human face.

While noting that the CNG Tricycles will promote the use of cleaner and eco friendly energy in the State, added that it is also a job creation opportunity for teeming young Nigerian’s.

Speaking at the commissioning, the Kogi State NACTOMORAS Chairman, Hon Amos Onuche Isah, described the first batch of the CNG Tricycles as a turning point in the transportation sector of the State.

He noted that the presidential initiative will help reduce transportation cost, create jobs and also improve the livelihood of thousands of families who depend on commercial Tricycles and motorcycle operators for their daily sustenance.

Highlights of the occasion was the official commissioning of the CNG Tricycles and handed over to the State Chairman of NACTOMORAS.
