The Kogi State Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has nominated Comr. Onuh Edoka, Special Adviser, Labour Matters, Kogi State Government for an award of Excellence.
The award is in recognition of his outstanding performances in ensuring that the vision of His Excellency, Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo in the Civil Service as well as in the Labour Sector is realized.
The nomination also followed the giant strides witnessed in the areas of Improved welfare for workers and Pensioners in the State.
Furthermore, the award is in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the people of Olamaboro LGA, particularly, in his efforts aimed at improving the well-being of the people in the areas of your regular empowerment and support.
The recognition and award is to be presented and unveiled to Comr. Edoka at the Grand finale of the 2025 Kogi NUJ Press Week with the Theme: “Kogi State’s Solid Minerals: How Media Can Drive Development”.
The program is scheduled to hold at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja, 25th September 2025 at 10:00am.
His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Executive Governor, would serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the Press Week Grand finale.
His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
