Adavi Lawmaker, commence drilling of boreholes, commissioned 3, Empowered constituents with cash

As part of his effort to give back to the society, the member representing Adavi constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Haruna Baba Asema  Chief Whip kogi State Assembly has commenced the sinking of motorized boreholes across the 11 wards that formed of Adavi local government area.

He also commissioned three motorized boreholes, empowered over 860 youth and women with cash in his constituency.

Addressing a mammoth crowd of party supporters and loyalists that graced the commissioning / empowerment ceremony held on Friday in Ogaminana, Adavi LGA, Hon. Haruna Baba Asema said that the donation of the boreholes and empowerment of 860 constituents is in line with former governor Yahaya Bello’s policy of giving back to the society.

According to him, the three motorized boreholes sited at Uruvucheba, Nagazi and Adavi-Eba wards falls under the first phase of the water project, assuring that the remaining eight wards will benefit during the second phase.

While appreciating the speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf for his purposeful leadership, Hon. Asema called on party members to continue to support the APC.

In his remark, the Director General, government house, Alhaji Shaibu Oricha, averred that Hon. Haruna Baba Asema’s performance was in line with the principle of the party which bothers on giving back to the society.

He however called on elected and appointed public office holders to always contribute their quota to the development of the area.

The Ohi of Adavi and Chairman Adavi traditional council His Royal Highness Alhaji Mohammed Ireyi commended Hon. Asama for the provision water to the people of the local government, assuring that as a traditional ruler he will continue to support any effort geared toward the development of the local government.

The Ohi of Adavi who referred to the former governor of the state Alhaji Yahaya Bello as ancestor for liberating Ebira people from the hands of oppressions, thanked Governor Ododo for consolidating on the achievements of the immediate past governor.

The monarch seek the cooperation and unity of all Ebira people to enable government delivered the desired dividend of democracy to the people.

Also in his remarks, an elder statesman, Alhaji Isa Ozi Salami applauded Adavi lawmaker for representing the local government well and urged him to continue his good work as the representative of the people of Adavi.

“I am not surprise by his performance because his father Asema when he served as councillor we knew the good things he did during his time as representative of the people. I am bold to say that whatever Hon. Haruna Baba Asema is doing today he only emulate his father” he said .

The Commissioner for Works Engr. Mohammed Yusuf in his remarks described Hon. Asema as a lawmaker who has the welfare of his constituents at heart.

He commended him for complimenting the state government efforts in providing water for the people of Adavi and urged him not to relent in his effort to do for his people.

Speaking Hon. Salamat Asema expressed gratitude to her brother for his ability to fulfil his campaign promises of giving Adavi people portable water.

She said the eleven motorized boreholes when completed will end the perennial scarcity of water.

While commending Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the state APC chairman, Abdullahi Bello and other leaders of the party, Hon. Salamatu assured that comes 2027 APC will be victorious in all the election and urged party members to be united in order to achieve the feat.

Speaking, one of the beneficiaries of the empowerment, Hon. Anuku Shaibu Musa expressed joy and commended Hon. Haruna Baba. He then prayed the Almighty God to enable him to do more for the people of his constituency.
