Dearest Prof. Ohiare-Udebu Maryanne Fatimah,
As the 1st of October, 2025 draws near, my heart is filled with gratitude, joy, and deep affection as I look forward to celebrating your Diamond Jubilee, 60 glorious years of a life lived with purpose, grace, and profound impact.
To me, you are more than a distinguished scholar, more than a revered Professor, and more than a godmother. You are a mother in every sense of the word, nurturing, guiding, correcting, and loving me with a rare depth that words cannot fully capture. You have been my light in moments of darkness, my anchor in seasons of uncertainty, and my greatest inspiration as a mentee.
Mama, your life is a testimony of resilience, sacrifice, brilliance, and selfless service to God, humanity, and education. You have planted seeds of knowledge in countless lives, and in me, you planted not just wisdom but also courage, compassion, and the confidence to dream.
As you step into the diamond age, may the Almighty God continue to preserve your health, crown your days with peace, and surround you with laughter, love, and endless fulfillment. You are truly a diamond, rare, precious, and indestructible and I am blessed beyond measure to call you mother and mentor.
