The Kogi State House of Assembly, at today’s plenary session presided over by the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, deliberated on key matters of public interest aimed at strengthening security and governance across Kogi State.
The House considered a motion on the urgent need to rehabilitate the Marine Police Station in Lokoja and enhance security along the state’s inland waterways. The motion, sponsored by Hon. Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijani, Member representing Lokoja I Constituency, underscored the importance of proactive security measures to safeguard lives and boost economic activities within the waterways.
In the same sitting, the House screened and confirmed Hon. Barr. Tanko Musa and three others as Chairman and Permanent Commissioners I, II, and III of the Kogi State Civil Service Commission — a development that reinforces the Assembly’s commitment to strengthening institutional efficiency and promoting effective public service delivery.
The Deputy Speaker commended members for their continued dedication to legislative actions that advance safety, accountability, and good governance across the state.
