Idris King extends boreholes rehabilitation project to Uruvochinomi community in Adavi LGA
In continuation of the Renew Hope Boreholes Rehabilitation Project initiated by the Federal Commissioner representing Kogi State at the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Hon. AbdulAzeez Idris King, the project has moved to Marcan Islamic school, uruvochinomi in Adavi local government area where moribund boreholes are being rehabilitated.
The aim of the project is to take portable water to the door steps of Adavi communities who have been facing acute scarcity of water especially during dry season due to the moribund nature of available borehole in the local government.
The project which is going around the central senatorial district of Kogi state when completed will eliminate the hardship people faced as a result of scarcity of water.
One of the residents of the community and the Vice Principal of the school, Mallam Yunus who spoke on the project, described the initiative of Hon. Idris King as timely and responsive , noting that the borehole rehabilitation project will go along way in eradicating waterborne diseases cause by scarcity of water.
Mallam Yunus who was a junior student to Hon. AbdulAzeez Idris King at Usmanu Danfodio university sokoto some years back commended his effort in considering uruvochinomi community and the school worthy of benefitting from the laudable project and prayed for him, for more successes in life.
In her remark, Josephine Anumuko James praised Hon. Idris King for rendering selfless service to humanity, adding that water is vital to human beings and other living things.
She urged other political office holders and elected representatives to emulate the kind gesture of Hon. Idris King in giving back to the people and communities.
