The Ata Igala, HRM Matthew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa has conferred the chieftaincy title on Chief Ocholi Jeremiah Ibrahim Omagu as Ageny Ata Igala Akoakwu in recognition for his impractical services to the Nation, Igalaland and humanity. Performing the ceremony at Ata palace, Idah, the royal father described the nomination and coronation of Chief Ocholi Jeremiah Ibrahim Omagu as a call to service which he has been endowed as a successful technocrat and a grassroot community leader. HRM Matthew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa reminded the new Agenyi Ata Igala Akoakwu to bring to bear his wealth of experience in the present capacity to demonstrate the confidence reposed in him as a worthy son of Igalaland.
The Ata Igala charged Chief Ocholi Jeremiah Ibrahim to have broad heart to accommodate divergent views and issues with God guidance and wisdom to serve the people meritoriously. He called on Igala sons and daughters to emulate the starling qualities of humility, honesty, transparency and accountability that make Chief Ocholi Jeremiah Ibrahim tower above his peers. The royal father reminded Agenyi Ata Igala to use his position to attract developmental projects to Igalaland and better the lots of the people. Speaking, the new Agenyi Ata Igala Akoakwu, Chier Ocholi Jeremiah Ibrahim Omagu appreciated Ata Igala for considering him worthy to serve in the present capacity and assured that he will not derail in the task ahead of purposeful leadership and transformation of Igalaland. He appealed to all sons and daughters of Igala Kingdom both at home and in diaspora to join hands with the Ata Igala in maintenance and sustenance of peaceful coexistence of all and worthy ambassadors in any positions they found themselves. Chief Agenyi Ata Igala Akoakwu promised to lead by example with the fear of God in His covenant with the people of Igala Kingdom. Chief Ocholi Jeremiah Ibrahim said that his service at the Federal character commission has propelled him to continue to thank God, loyal to constituted authorities and foremost ability to service humanity cinscientoously.
