

It was a colourful and celebratory atmosphere as the Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, joined hundreds of graduands, academics, and dignitaries at the 7th Combined Convocation Ceremony of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba.
The Deputy Speaker, a strong advocate for education and youth development, was warmly received by the university’s management and enthusiastic students. Her presence at the ceremony reaffirmed the commitment of the Kogi State Legislature to strengthening the education sector and supporting institutions that shape the future workforce of the state.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Rt. Hon. Egwaba expressed heartfelt congratulations to the graduating students, describing the “sea of graduation gowns” as a powerful symbol of hope and progress for Kogi State. She emphasized that the ceremony goes beyond academic celebration, noting that it represents the formal commissioning of a new generation of leaders poised to contribute meaningfully to the state’s growth and development.
She further described the 7th Combined Convocation as a significant milestone in the university’s journey, underscoring the government’s unwavering belief that sustained investment in education remains the most enduring legacy and the greatest gift that can be passed on to future generations.
