Salah:Kogi NUP Chair Ohida Greets Gov Ododo, Muslims at 2026 Eid al-Fitri.

Kogi State chairman of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners [NUP], engr. Clement Otori Ohida, has extended his warmest greetings to the state, governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, his deputy, Comrade Joel Oyibo, Muslims brethren and none Muslims alike on the celebration of 2026, eld al-Fitri , which mark the end of the month- long fasting of the month of Ramadan.

Engr. Ohida, in a message of felicitation to the Muslims community congratulated the Governor and adherents of holy Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] for the sound health and strength He granted them to scale through the hurdle of the fasting period despite the harsh weather condition as the Ramadan lasted.

According to him, the commemoration of Salah is the celebration of the completion of the training in the school of Ramadan where they attended the courses in patience, perseverance, honestly, and consciousness of the Almighty insisting that I’d al-Fitri is an occasion on which Muslims are expected to bask in an uncommon happiness, particularly for their ability to connect with the Almighty and especially at the time when profanity and bestiality have become fashionable.

Engr, Ohida, Urged the celebrants and citizens to imbibe the virtues of love, forgiveness, extends gifts to brethren that are facing adversity, kindness in line with the Prophet’s advice adding that the season calls for attention to the power of the spiritual realm, it takes away Muslims from the concern for the ephemeral for that which is eternal and salvation here on earth and in the hereafter lie in how steady we are in focusing on the Almighty and grateful we are for His blessings.

The state chairman of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners used the occasion to showered encomiums on the state governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his administration’s superlative performance in the welfare of workers and caring for the senior Citizens saying that the recent salay payment for civil servants on the thirteen of this month to enable them celebrate salah will certainly go down in history.

Engr. Ohida, called for unwavering support to Governor Ododo’s led administration from the citizens to enable him sustained the tempo of human and infrastructure development and pray Almighty to continue to equip him with precise knowledge, godly wisdom, sound health, renewed strength in the herculean task to building a virile and enviable state.
