

KOGI DEPUTY SPEAKER, RT. HON. COMFORT EGWABA, ORDAINED DEACONESS IN UNITED EVANGELICAL CHURCH
The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and Member Representing Ibaji State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, was on Sunday, June 7, 2026, ordained as a Deaconess in the United Evangelical Church (UEC) during a solemn and well-attended church service in Lokoja.
The event was officiated by the Chairman of Conference of the United Evangelical Church, Rev. Daniel F. Anjorin (Ph.D), who led the ordination of newly elected Deacons, Deaconesses, and Elders. The ceremony formed part of activities marking the Chairman of Conference’s Official Apostolic Working Visit to the Lokoja Township Superintendency of the Church.
Among those ordained was Rt. Hon. Comfort Egwaba, whose devotion to God, commitment to Christian values, and service to humanity were recognized during the ceremony.
The event was graced by the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, alongside senior government officials, church leaders, family members, friends, political associates, and members of the Christian community who gathered to witness the significant spiritual occasion.
Speaking shortly after the ordination, Deaconess Comfort Egwaba expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God for the privilege and responsibility entrusted to her. She described the ordination as a divine call to deeper service, greater humility, and renewed commitment to the work of God and the advancement of His kingdom.
She reaffirmed her resolve to continue serving God faithfully while upholding the principles of integrity, compassion, and selfless service in both her spiritual and public responsibilities.
The ceremony featured prayers, worship sessions, exhortations, and the formal presentation of certificates to the newly ordained church officers. Special prayers were offered for the Deacons, Deaconesses, and Elders, with church leaders charging them to remain steadfast in faith and exemplary in service to God and humanity.
The ordination marks another significant chapter in the life of Rt. Hon. Comfort Egwaba as she continues her commitment to serving God, her constituents, and society with dedication, humility, and purpose.
