ABUJA — The Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Mobilisation to the Kogi State Governor, Hon. Amodu Abubakar, has said the maiden National Retreat of the City Boy Movement (CBM) will consolidate the organisation’s structures, review its progress and reposition members for intensified grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Hon. Amodu stated this in Abuja during the opening of the three-day National Retreat of the City Boy Movement, where members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and State Directors were formally sworn into office.

The retreat, which attracted participants from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, is focused on strategic planning, leadership development and expanding the movement’s nationwide grassroots presence.

Addressing participants, the Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, urged members to remain united and committed to taking the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda to every community, while the Movement’s Patron, Barrister Seyi Tinubu, described the retreat as a platform for preparing a stronger and more purposeful national movement.

Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, challenged members to build a disciplined organisation capable of sustaining national mobilisation. He unveiled an ambitious target of securing 10 million votes for President Tinubu through sustained grassroots engagement, insisting that the objective could only be achieved through strong structures, active membership expansion and direct community participation.

Hon. David Mark Ogwu, Kogi State Director of the City Boy Movement, assured stakeholders that the state would faithfully replicate every strategy, structure and resolution emerging from the National Retreat. He pledged unwavering commitment to strengthening grassroots mobilisation across Kogi State to galvanise massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and future electoral engagements.

The retreat will conclude with the adoption of a strategic roadmap aimed at strengthening the movement’s nationwide operations and reinforcing support for the implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of future political engagements.
