Ododo’s Second Term Will Bring More Benefits To Southerners In Kogi, Says SA South Mobilization.
The Special Adviser to Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo on South Mobilization, Abu Micheal, has said that a second term for the Governor will yield greater benefits for people of South origin residing in Kogi State.
Abu stated this on Sunday during a visit to the Attumegbe Esan Women Meeting,
of Edo State at their monthly meeting held opposite the Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja.
The Special Adviser, who also doubles as President of South South States Residents in Kogi State, comprising Edo, Delta, Cross River, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Rivers, described Governor Ododo as a true friend of non-indigenes and commended his administration for its inclusive style of leadership.
He attributed the prevailing peace and security in the state to the Governor’s commitment to good governance and security of lives and property.
According to him, “We, the South South people residing in Kogi State, have never been given a sense of belonging in governance despite our many years of residence in the state, until the coming of the administration of Governor Ododo.
“Today, we are not only carried along, several opportunities have also been opened to us.
“For these reasons and more, we have resolved to sustain our support for his administration beyond 2027. We are confident that if we support him, he will continue to remember and support us. To this end, we declare our unflinching support. His return in 2027 for a second term is sacrosanct.”
Abu urged the women to continue to mobilize support and preach the message of continuity for the Governor wherever they find themselves.
In her remarks, the Chairperson of Okumagbe Women Association of Edo State, South Nigeria, Mrs. Rita Thomas expressed confidence in the leadership of the Special Adviser.
She said the association has already keyed into the return bid project of Governor Ododo, citing the peace and security being enjoyed in the state, the free education policy, and women empowerment programs as reasons for their support for the APC-led administration.
Highlights of the meeting was prayers for Kogi State, Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo and a peaceful 2027 general election.
