The member representing Ijumu Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Kilani Olusola Olumo has reacted to the proposed establishment of University in Okun land as approved by the State Executive Council.
Hon. Kilani in a statement he personally signed and made available to Newsmen in Lokoja described the move as long Overdue and a step in the right direction.
The State Lawmaker noted with delight that establishment of a University in Okun land has been the wish of many Okun sons and daughters for decades.
He commended Governor Yahaya Bello for the gesture, saying he has done what previous administration has not done for Okun people.
Hon. Kilani added that human resources needed for the smooth running of the University are available in abundance in Okun land and urged people of the Area to support the move.
