2023: Coalition of Youths, Students, Women Groups & Widows gathered to Endorse Rt Hon Ahmed Mohammed House of Representatives Ambition.
Ahead of the 2023 National Assembly elections, coalition of Youths, Women, Students and widows gathered to fully declare support to the aspiration of Rt. Honorable Ahmed Mohammed, to represent the people of Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala Federal Constituency.
Rising from a town hall meeting/dialogue, a communique was read by Comrade Fidelis Ojonugwa said the endorsement and vote of confidence became necessary ahead of the general elections, adding that one of the core objectives of this gathering is to appreciate his efforts so far representing the people of Ankpa 1 constituency, and on the need to speak with one voice to massively throw support for his future ambition.
Speaking on behalf of the Widows, Hajiya Hauwa Tijani from Ojoku-Ankpa LGA says Rt. Honorable Ahmed Mohammed is a son and husband to all the widows. According to her; the story of Ahmed Ahmed had been told over and again by many, he is one who is known for his nobility, he has a propensity for sacrificing his comfort. And on this note, we have resolved to pay him back in our own way.
Representatives of various groups who spoke gave a boost to his aspiration and promised to canvass wide for him. The event took a different turn as groups begin raising funds for him to purchase nomination form for his election.
Reacting to this, Rt. Honorable Ahmed Mohammed thanked the students and all the groups who took him by surprise. His words; “My people of Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala, I am profoundly grateful for this kind gesture. It is not all the time that you see people come together to appreciate, pass a vote of confidence on someone and also resolve to purchase form for him. I am eternally grateful. I want to assure you that, by the special grace of God, we shall put in all efforts to provide youth employment, human and infrastructure development, continue to represent you very well and shall formulated an all inclusive policy.
