*2023 PRESIDENCY: GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO,THE MAN THE CAP FITS!*
Show me a man with positive antecedents and I will tell you of a servant leader.
The call to serve Nigerians come 2023 and beyond is a deserving call which is not expected of His Excellency to turn down and it is my utmost believe that His Excellency Yahaya Bello will heed to this noble call after due consultations!
Alhaji Yahaya Bello’s leadership styles have overtime endeared him to people from different walks of life both within and outside Kogi State. A perfect bridge builder across ethnic, religion, gender and social class.
These styles of leadership is evident upon assuming office in 2015 till date in the area of cabinet set up. It is on records that His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello remains a leader devoid of tribal and religion sentiment.
Appointments were spread across the Three Constituencies that made up Kogi State without favoritism. The APC under him as a leader has given women unprecedented representation.
The man Yahaya Bello is a good listener to his followers and through listening he acknowledges their standing points, vis-avis them and validate same where necessary.
Not only that, His Excellency is a proponent and the Messiah of the truism that “Youths are the leaders of tomorrow.” Since the creation of Kogi State, youths had not have it this good in terms of participation in governance. This has brought about leadership and capacity building in quite a number of youth across the State because of their involvement not just in politics but in governance.
In addition, His Excellency upholds the principle of liberal democracy by affirming gender quotas. In other words, Governor Yahaya Bello allows gender quotas in the process of democratisation across the State by ensuring the inclusion of women into political assemblies i.e different stages of political representations in the State. Even His Excellency’s Aide-de-camp is from the women’s folks; All the Twenty One (21) Local Government Vice Chairmen and the leaders of the house are women. This is a fulfilment of the long awaited affirmative action!
Furthermore, the physically challenged are not left out in the area of representation both at the State and Local Government level.
Moreover, godfatherism which characterized past administration is now nailed on the cross of equity and fairness by the Government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello. However, it takes a man of courage,focus and doggedness to set the alter of godfatherism on fire in any political formation. Kudos to His Excellency.
Kogi State has of late witness tremendous increase in the area of internally generated revenue (IGR) under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello through proactive steps and round peg in a round hole in the area of who occupies strategic economic positions in the State. This of course has doubled if not tripled the revenue generation and remittance for the State and by extension has telling effects on Capital projects carried out thus far under the Government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello across the State.
The primary function of government is to secure lives and properties of citizens. We all know the state Kogi was when His Excellency took over. Today, security in Kogi has improved tremendously. This has earned him awards on different occasions in the country. It is under this kind of atmosphere that economy thrives. Nigeria needs such a man at a time like this.
The above are few amongst what are obtained under the enviable leadership of those enigmatic resourceful performer.
Considering the foregoing, I call on Nigerians in general and the youths in particular to join millions to clamour for His Excellency, *Alhaji Yahaya* *Adoza Bello* to run as President to replicate much more of the above mentioned development all over the Country when he emerges as the president of our great Nation-Nigeria.
