Abdulrazaq Took Oath of Office, Thank Gov. Bello, Others

The winner of the just concluded Local Government election in Okene and the candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has been sworn in as the Executive Chairman of Okene Local Government.

The oath of office was administered on him by the state Acting Chief Judge, Justice Henry Olusuyi at Lokoja township stadium in the presence of the State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello, his deputy, Edward Onoja, top government functionaries, party supporters and the general public. The Vice-Chairman, Mrs Bilikisu Aliyu was also sworn in at the event.

The newly sworn-in Executive Chairman of Okene Local Government thank Gov. Yahaya Bello, stakeholders of the ruling All Progress Congress and the electorate for the opportunity to serve the people in the capacity as the Council Chairman.

He expressed optimism that the confidence and trust reposed in him by the people of the council will be reciprocated. Engr. Abdulrazaq however solicited the cooperation and support of all stakeholders in Okene to enable his administration achieved sustainable peace, progress and radical transformations in the area.
