The Deputy President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees(NULGE) kogi state chapter, Comrade Lasisi Aminu has inaugurated the Adavi local government chapter of the union with a charge to them to be VANGUARD of peace in pursuance of staff welfare. Comrade Lasisi Aminu gave the charge while swearing in the new executive of the Association at Adavi council secretariat, Ogaminana.
He called on the staff in the 21-local government areas of the state to brace up and work in harmony with their various chairmen to better the lots,of the staff in their local government. He stated that they will continue to work with the state government to improve on the staff welfAre for optimal performance to demonstrate good governance at the grassroot. Comrade Lasisi Aminu commended the Governor of kogi state, His Excellency, Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman on his successful assumption of office and asked staff across the 21-local government to support his administration. In his speech the zonal chairman of NULGE for kogi central, Comrade Olufade Bernard commended Adavi chapter for the inauguration and asked the staff to give their maximum cooperation and support to the new executive. He urged departmental representatives to be proactive in quality representation for the good of staff of the Council. In his address, the countinuity chairman of Adavi NULGE, Comrade Shaibu Ozovehe Yakubu commended the government at all levels for being Labour friendly and asked the staff of the Council to support the government of the day in her programmes to serve the people of the local government. He praised the initiative of the chairman Hon. Bashiru Rasheed Okatengwu for his exemplary leadership and called on Adavi people to cooperate with him to serve the people better. He called on members of his team to see their coming on board as divine and ready to serve the local government conscientiously. He assured that they will not disappoint Adavi people in their new callings and appealed to the Council management to be magnanimous in staff welfare. He recognized the leadership role of the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Muhammad A. Yusuf and Hon. Haruna Baba Asema, the Chief Whip of Kogi Sitka house of assembly for helping Adavi local government to grow. The Adavi NULGE chairman reminded the staff to kindly report promptly to work and be in their office to discharge their duties to Adavi people.
