The newly elected Executive Members of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Adavi LGA Chapter have been inaugurated with a charge to be vanguard of peace in pursuing staff matters. The Kogi State President of NULGE, Comrade Tade Adeyemi gave the charge while inauguraring the NULGE Executive Members at Adavi LGA Secretariat, Ogaminana. He commended cthe Council management for hitch free conduct of the union election and urged the executive to carry all staff along in the scheme of things a# he reminded staff of the council ro be more dedicated to duty. Com. Tade Adeyemi called on th3 new executive to extend hands of fellowship to be losers in the election and work as a team in addressing staff welfare with the Council management. The NILGE President called on the staff of the council to give mavimum cooperation to the union executive to enable them offer purposeful service to the local government staff. Those sworn in at the occasion included; Comrade Shaibu O. Yakubu-Chairman, Com. Musa O. Yusuf -Vice Chairman, Com. Haruna salami- Treasurer, Com. Abdullahi A. Jimoh-Secretary, Com. Ibrahim Jimoh-Aasr. Secretary, Com Salihu A. Zubair-Auditor, Com. Amin at Ajovuni-Trustee, com. Ahmed Chegede-Young Worker Representative, Com. Hadiza A. Salami-Women committee Chairperson. Others were departmental representatives of Com. Abdulmalik Hadi(Administration), Ahmed O. Muhammed(works), com. Salami Lamidi(Budget), Com. Siyaka O. Abdulraheem(Education), Com. Salihu Aliyu(Agriculture) Com. Momph Hussein(Finance). Speaking, vthe Adavi NULGE Chairman, Comrade Shaibu O. Yakubu commended the council management and state NULGE officers foe peaceful election and eventual inauguration. He appealed to the state government through rhe Ministry of Local government and Chieftancy Affairs, Local government Service Commission and state NULGE to look into incessant court garnishee order against Adavi LGA to reduce the suffering of the staff. Com. Shaibu Yakubu (AKA SOCIAL) who promised to be exemplary in piloting the affairs of the union, commended his predecessors in office for their role in staff matters. He hinged his union administration on three principles of Accountability, Transparency and Dialogue to prrdd his demand for improve staff welfare. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the immediate past Adavi Adminsreator, Hon. Joseph O. Salami, council DLG, Engr. Obaro Muhammed, State NULGR officers, Heads of Departments, staff of the council as well as well wishers, friends and family members of rhe new executive members.
