Enough of Intimidation and Blackmail of the Former Administrator, Mopa-Amuro,Hon Sunday David Moses

The Youth movement For Grassroots Democracy, YMGD in Mopa-Amuro local government have condemned in entirety the failed protests sponsored by the opposition and haters of APC who never wanted the emergence of the present Governor of kogi state,Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello.

The president of the reputable forum, Mr. Ayo olaitan in a statement issued to media men recently stated that the people of Mopa Amuro local government area would never tolerate the molestation from those who never wanted the new direction government of APC and Governor Bello to succeed.

According to the statement, “we frowned at the statements of intimidation and blackmail against our performed, people’s former Administrator, Hon. Sunday David Moses for discharging its functions and responsibility while in office, those few sponsored protestants are enemies of democracy, peace and progress of our dear local government area.

” We have observed with shame the repeated and unconscionable act of the enemies of democracy who don’t wish our local government and democracy well through campaign of calumny and blackmail in order to cause public disaffection against the good reputation of Hon. Sunday David Moses (Alomo)”.

” We would never tolerate those vagabonds to continue to attack our respected leader who has served our council judiciously and meritourously”,

These anti-democratic elements have now become emboldened to embark on sponsoring thugs and jobless youth to stage unwarranted protest,we therefore called on the stakeholders and traditional leaders to call all those behind the sponsor to order in order to avert any pending crisis because nobody has monopoly of violence”,they warned.

We also condemn the dishonourable conduct of those behind the failed protest, Under no circumstance we allow any irresponsible, barbaric, provocative and undemocratic intimidation and blackmail of our leader, Hon. Sunday David Moses.

” We therefore advise the sponsorers and their cohorts to meaningfully play the game of politics without bitterness, character assasination and blackmail will not help them in this modern democratic process, We are in a democratic era,we believe in our system and Hon. Sunday David Moses is ready to go through the processes of contesting with other aspirants through primaries to become the Local Government Executive Chairman”.

We urged his co-contestants to work for their victory through electoral process instead of seeking for short-cut,saying those who are running helter skelter to destroy the reputation build for several years by Hon. Sunday to desist from such act and,instead should start preparing themselves for a free and fair primary election, Governor Bello is the father of all,and too sure that he will not endorse any chairmanship aspirants.
