*AMIDST SALLAH CELEBRATION, MUKADAM ASIWAJU ASIRU IDRIS, FCA, AND HON FEMI FANWO SET ASIDE A DAY TO CELEBRATE WITH APC PARTY EXCOS AND STAKEHOLDERS IN YAGBA EAST*
Without allowing the extremely exciting and fun filled celebration of sallah to assume an overwhelming state, the period was also utilised to play politics and interface with party faithfuls,with the aim of fostering unity amongst executives, stakeholders and strengthening the progressive fold, APC in Yagba east.
At the meeting to address the party excos along side Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, is the media avatar, Mopa Amuro son, Yagba leader and a core loyalist, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, Commissioner of information and communication strategy who was around for days in isanlu to celebrate sallah with his leader and colleague in the cabinet.
MAAI at the meeting thanked the party executives for holding fort for the party at the grassroot and for demonstrating absolute loyalty especially during the last gubernatorial primaries where they overwhelmingly voted Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello which culminated to his victory for second term in office. Going forward, he said there is need to replicate such cohesive pact and common front in the coming elections.
He emphasised on the need for all to show concerted effort at any slight opportunity, to market the party, propagate the Governor and the programmes, projects and policies of government instead of doing otherwise. He said only a united house can face battles from outside. We must work out a strong and virile party structure that will not only grow the progressive bond but win elections convincingly and succesively. He notes, that Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello has a sustainably good plan in terms of reward system for committed party excos in the LGA and Ward level. He opined henceforth, that the party executives at state, LGA, Ward level will be largely considered for democratic dividends in these season of “Let do more”.
Hon Fanwo on his side, thanked the party executives for promoting the party at the LGA,most especially for supporting his leaders, GYB and MAAI massively. He spoke eloquently about the rare attributes of MAAI,which is aimed towards the progress of his followers, party faithfuls and the progress of the party. He said Asiwaju is a Godly politician whose large heartedness and forgiven spirit is hugely commendable. He urged the excos to continually market the party and support the GYB led administration,saying the benefit will be great and it shall come sooner than they thought.
Fanwo states with great optimism that Yagba east has an asset in Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris with his sound administrative prowess, uncommon wisdom and exemplary leadership style. Indeed, we are proud to have him as our leader in Yagba land and Kogi is blessed to have his likes. He admonished them all to give their quantum support for him to succeed as he pilot the affairs and advocate the need of Yagba land as a star actor in government.
The APC party chairman in Yagba east east LGA , Hon Kehinde atteh earlier spoke, where he profusely appreciates Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris for their show of love and exemplary leadership towards the party, advancement of party members and Yagba east as a whole. He however, pleaded that the party members most not be forgotten in the scheme of things. He said we have many unemployed youths looking for job, women that needs empowerment and community development initiatives that could enhance the chances of the party in the LGA and state in general. He assured the leaders of their commitment and resolve to build the party and support Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello in his quest to transform kogi state.
It was an engaging meeting, Other party executives and stakeholders stood up to add valuable contributions to the issues of discourse,especially how the party can be more stronger and cohesive going forward. It was agreed that constant meeting is one of the panacea to political harmony cum electoral victory, instead of the election time rush and impromptu meetings that has shaped the recent past.
MAAI used the occassion to demostrate his words in action by rewarding the six (6) women leaders in Oke oyi axis of Yagba east LGA with a motorcycle to aide their personal and political mobility. The other four (4) women leaders in isanlu axis of the LGA had received the same gift earlier in the year. He also gave the excos and stakeholders at the meeting a financial gift of #1, 000,000 as their transport fare back to their destination.
It was an ecstatic moment,as the women leaders jump for joy and the whole party executives present reaffirmed their loyalty to the party, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello administration,leadership of Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris in Yagba east and Yagba land by extension.
Aftermath, it was a free for all merriment with a sumptuous meal, material gifts and dancing steps to the live band at hand.
