BIOGRAPHY OF THE LATE ENGINEER EMMANUEL MAKANJUOLA BOLORUNDURO*
Engineer Emmanuel Makanjuola was born on the 4th of October 1964 at Sudan interior mission hospital (SIM) Kuroko near Okene, precisely into the family of Reverend and Mrs Gabriel Makanjuola who hail from Ogori/ magongo LGA Kogi state .
He first attended St Andrews Primary School in Okene where he obtained his First school leaving certificate in the year 1969-1975. He proceeded to the newly opened Ogori/ Magongo Teachers’ College in the year 1975-1980 in obedience to his father who wanted at least one of his children to take after him as a teacher. He then went to Mount Carmel College, Ilorin, where he obtained his WAEC/GCE in the year 1989-1990 and there after pursued his ambition of becoming an engineer
The late Engineer Makanjuola Emmanuel gained Admission into the Kwara state Polytechnic where he obtained his ND and HND in mechanical engineering in the year 1990-1995.
His first place of assignment, after graduation, was with the Kaduna rolling mills but an opportunity came for him to work with Ajaokuta Steel Company on the 7th of February 2002 which was at its best stage before the current setback .
Engineer Emmanuel Bolurunduro threw himself into the Job with his usual zeal of doing things . He made a lot of friends and with an amiable wife, Mrs Makanjuola Blessing, on the 2nd of March 2002 ,the duo were philanthropists of some sort, throwing his door open for the needy and the less privileged . He was altruistic, gregarious and a friend to all. Besides, he was a highly detribalized Nigerian and a bridgebuilder. He would be greatly missed.
Our dear brother took off a little time from his core duty as an engineer to go into trade unionism where he fought to ensure better wages and working conditions for Ajaokuta steel workers. Unfortunately, this is a society where good people are rebuffed and vilified for their good intentions. He barely escaped with his life when he was attacked by pseudounionists who are more interested in stomach infrastructure rather than staff welfare. It was a nasty experience which made him return to school for his Post-graduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in the year 2015-2017.
The Late Engineer Makanjuola Bolorunduro topped all his achievements by passing his Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria popularly known as COREN in the year 2021 making him a professional Engineer.
But, his biography won’t be complete without his greatest exploit in life which was His Love for his creator. He was a Christian soldier ready to go any length to serve God in any capacity. As a matter of fact he was a Chaplain member. He was humble to the core, a social worker , team player, a humanist. A lover of God has gone to be with is maker.
He will be greatly missed in his professional circles, colleagues, families and friends, close associates, the entire Ajaokuta community where he spent most of his adult life and the Christian community especially, Our Heritage Gospel Church in Ajaokuta where he served as a Building Committee member and a security member until his demise .
In Summary, the Late Engineer Emmanuel Bolorunduro Makanjuola came , He saw and he Conquered even in Death .
He was survived by his wife, children, sister, brother and friends .
He will be greatly missed but our only consolation is that he is resting in the bosom of the lord. We shall, surely, meet again one day .
ADIEU !!!! ADIEU!!! I
