… Pharm. Asuku to pay WAEC fee, grant scholarships, empowerments
The volleyball team under the sponsorship of the Chief of Staff to Kogi State governor known as Asuku Spikers paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku Jamiu at his office.
The Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State governor on Youth Empowermen Kogi Central, Hon Olajide Favour Onize who represented the chief of staff during the tournament introduced members and coaching staff of the Asuku Spikers to the Chief of Staff. Hon. Olajide Favour while delivering her speech appreciate the Chief of Staff for his support and commitment to the upliftment of Kogi youths across the state, stating that, the tournament was well contested under a healthy competitive atmosphere and the Asuku Spikers were victorious in the 2021/2022 edition.
Though they came second in the 2022/2023 edition. She said the idea is to show appreciation for his unrivaled contribution to Youths in Kogi central and Kogi State at large. This she said underpin the formation of the club.
The coach, Mr Abu Muhammed Enesi said, the team is appreciative of the Chief of Staff’s passion for youths and how he has given a facelift to the club to this point. Mr Enesi who itemized the challenges faced by the club prayed that God will continue to lift Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku Jamiu beyond this level.
While Commending the team for the visit, the Chief of Staff welcome the team and thanked them for chosing a part of honor. “I congratulate you all for winning this trophies and also for chosing to be productive by channeling your youthful talents and energy towards something worthwhile”
Pharm. Asuku assured them that the government of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello will continue to invest positively in the Youths especially in sports and productive talents.
“The government of his excellency will continue to encourage youths who have chose to tread the part of progress”
The Chief of Staff also promise that moving forward, he’s going to make the competition a state-wide tournament.
“We will make sure this competition gain state recognition by making it a state competition”

The Asuku Spikers were highly elated when the Chief of Staff rolled out empowerment and scholarship award to the players.
This includes the payment of Jegede moses’s WAEC fee, Idris Solomon also got scholarship for his HND.
Others who received the blessing of the Chief of Staff were, Jegede Jonah, who is billed to get industrial Machine for his tailoring job and Idris Asipita with a scholarship to study up to B.Ed.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of the trophy to the chief of staff, pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku Jamiu.
Present at the occasion were, the Chairman, Kogi State Youth Development Commission Mr Lawal Ozomata James and the APC Okehi State Assembly flag bearer Hon. Zachariayau Otokiti among other.
