The Reflection Newspaper, a Lokoja-based media organisation, is happy to announce to the general public that Dr. (Mrs.) Dorcas Aina Ayeni (nee Jegede) of the Department of Architecture, Federal University of Technology, Akure has been elevated to the Chair of full Professorship position by the University Senate. She has achieved this enviable position through dint of hard work and dedication to duty.
The news gladdens our hearts at The Reflection Newspaper. You have made your family, colleagues, students, friends, women folk, Ogori community, Kogi State, and indeed Nigeria proud with this your special feat. You are a role model to the younger generation of girls in Ogori.
Prof. (Arc.) Dorcas Ayeni, a Redeemed Church Pastor who was wife to the late Otunba Ayeni, former President of the Ogori Descendants Union (ODU), hails from Ogori and she is the younger sister to Emeritus Professor Olugbemiro Jegede, the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), and
also the immediate younger sister to Professor Olorunfemi Jegede, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Abuja. She is now the 3rd professor in the family.
We wish her heavenly blessings, divine grace and divine wisdom, lots of ink in her academic pen, more successes, a myriad of openings, prosperity, and greater heights in years ahead.
