The Vice Chancellor, Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku today 17th March, 2023 celebrated his birthday.
According to Balogun Omeiza David Head, Public Relations Unit of CUSTECH, Osara, the celebration which took place in his office was well attended by members of the Management and other staff members of CUSTECH, Osara.
The opening prayers of the birthday celebration were presented by Dr. Shehu Abdulazeez, a lecturer at the Department of Mining Engineering and Mr. Michael Ayodele, the Chaplain at the Light of Life Chapel at CUSTECH, Osara.
The Registrar of CUSTECH, Osara Ms. Olufunke Hudson set the ball rolling as she was the first to talk about Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku. She eulogized him by describing the erudite science oriented scholar with an evergreen statement that he is *”one that is next to perfection.*
Also, the University Librarian Mr. Jeremiah Salifu described the Vice Chancellor as “a man having a shock absorber and also able to manage people under his authority.
Pharm. Audu Asuku, the Director Academic Planning (DAP) in his own words submitted that the celebrant has been “a role model to him right from his youthful age even till now that they are working together.
Arc. Mohammed Usman serving as the Director, Works described the Vice Chancellor as “an embodiment of knowledge who is capable of having answers to many pressing issues.
The University Internal Auditor, Alh. Sanni Kabir poured words of accolades on Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku as he placed him as “a father figure which no words can be used to describe his dint of hard work that is part of what has gathered us round his table in celebration.
Other staff members reeled out words of praises on the celebrant but space will not permit to write down all that they said about him.
Responding to the many good comments made by all the Management Staff and other staff members of CUSTECH, Osara who gathered to celebrate with him, Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku thanked all those who gathered and joined hands to bring about the celebration of his birthday.
He specially thanked the Management and Staff including the entire staff members of CUSTECH, Osara for making his work as the Vice Chancellor smooth for him due to their total commitment to work.
He prayed that everyone who has gathered to celebrate him today will in the same vein be celebrated. He urged all the staff members not to relent in carrying out their duties properly as that will be the template that will occasion their celebration in life.
The popular birthday song by Evi Edna Ogholi and other celebration songs were played and danced to by all those who graced the birthday celebration of Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku. The celebrant went ahead to cut his birthday cake which was followed by the taking of photograpgs. This was followed by a refreshment for all those present.
