DISTINGUISHED SENATOR SMART ADEYEMI CONGRATULATES ALL KOGI WEST APC CANDIDATES FOR THE UPCOMING LG ELECTION.
The Senator representing the good people of Kogi West, Distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi, congratulates all the Chairmanship/Councillorship Candidates that emerged few days ago from the Primaries of All Progressives Congress (APC), Kogi West, for the upcoming Local Government Elections.
The Senator commended the way and manner the Candidates conducted themselves throughout the process that led to their peaceful emergence, stating that it was in compliance with the expectations of the party leaders and stakeholders. He also stated that the peaceful and transparent primaries that produced them as Candidates has given credence to the fact that they are truly the people’s choice.
Furthermore, the Senator praised the entire leadership of the party under the Chairmanship of Alhaji Abdullahi Bello (Dollar), for providing a conducive atmosphere and displaying exceptional transparency in the handling of the entire process that brought forward all the Candidates. He appreciates them for being unbiased umpires, thereby justifying the trust and confidence reposed in them by the leader of the party in Kogi State, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
The Senator takes this opportunity to appeal to all the aspirants who participated but did not emerge, particularly those who had expected his support either physically or financially not to be offended by him or the party as a whole. He stated that his resolve not to influence the emergence of any candidate was deliberate, and a display of his trust and confidence in the ability of the leadership structure of APC in Kogi State to ensure that the process is free and fair, and that only the best candidates are elected to represent our people from the various Wards and Local Government Councils. He also added that all aspirants have equal access and relationship to and with him. He advised that the outcome of this Primaries should be taken as the will of God, believing that they could be entrusted with even greater positions in the nearest future. The Senator advised them to work with those who emerged in the spirit of sportsmanship, with utmost trust in the ability of the party to protect the interest of all.
Finally, Senator Adeyemi appreciates the exemplary and exceptional leadership style of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello. He described the Governor’s style as very dynamic, versatile and pragmatic. He further said that the Governor’s emergence in the political space of Kogi State has continued to inspire all genuinely progressive-minded Kogites that things can actually be done in a just and fair manner, relying on the outcome of the recent party Primaries as testimony to this assertion.
In conclusion, the Senator has encouraged all APC candidates to be magnanimous in victory, and to work with all sectors of the society in order to ensure an even more resounding victory for the party on the 12th of December, 2020.
