The Department of Petroleum Resources DPR, Lokoja field office has assured motorists of adequate fuel supply during the Yuletide season.
It also sealed two filling stations Always and Emmaliz for under dispensing of petrol while mohka gas plant was sealed for operating without a licence sealed.
The state controller Amos Jokodola said the surveillance exercise to ensure availability of premium motor spirit, pms in Lokoja, kogi state.
Speaking after the exercise, Engineer Jokodola said the operation was to monitor the distribution of Petrol, Gas, diesel and kerosene, as well as it’s availability to the masses at government approved price without being short changed.
He said the government has put in place necessary measures to ensure there was enough products to serve the public before, during and after the festive period.
Mr Jokodola urged motorists and the public not to engage in panic buying as there was sufficient product.
Some motorists commended the government for the availability of fuel and appreciated DPR for check mating fueling stations that were in the habit of shortchanging consumers.
