A sociocultural group, Ojuju Unyi Udama Igala, has called on the general public to disregard the misguided propaganda sorrounding Prof. Erico Ameh’s visit to Governor Yahaya Bello.
The President of the Group, Mr Destiny Ibrahim, made the clarification in a statement made available to Journalists on Wednesday in Lokoja.
Ibrahim said the purpose of Ameh’s visit to Kogi Governor was to promote the best interests of the Igala kingdom and Kogi State as a whole.
According to the president, Dr Ameh holds a prominent position as one of the national leaders of Ojuju Unyi Udama Igala, contributing both financially and intellectually to its success.
He said the group had personally met and interacted with the Associate Professor after his visit and found out that his visit was not intended to cause harm to any individual or group.
“Despite attempts by certain individuals with ill intentions to undermine his credibility, Dr Ameh’s significance goes beyond their misguided efforts.
“He is a former Governorship aspirant of Kogi State and a recognized expert in national corporate security matters.
“The Associate professor’s visit to our esteemed Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, will greatly benefit the Igala kingdom both at the state and national levels,” Ibrahim said.
The president stressed that Dr Ameh during the group’s last meeting, pledged to facilitate the development of the Igala kingdom by establishing effective connections with both state and national governments.
He stressed that Dr Ameh is renowned for his philanthropic nature and unwavering support for the Igala people and the entire state.
