Easter: Obajana Monarch Congratulates Christians, Harps on Peace and Prayer for Nigeria

The Bajana of Obajana in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State HRH, Oba (Dr.) Idowu Isenibi has congratulated Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter Celebration which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Oba Isenibi in a congratulatory message made available to Newsmen in Lokoja, the State Capital stressed the need for Nigerians to imbibe peace, selflessness and sacrificial living in their daily lives.

He also emphasized the need for prayers for national Peace and Development of the country.

The Traditional Ruler described Jesus Christ as a selfless leader, who sacrificed his life for the sins of mankind, saying it is a demonstration of love, passion and commitment.

He urged Christians to use the period to reflect on their lives with the view of making amends where necessary by imbibing the virtues demonstrated by Christ while on earth.

Oba Isenibi who also emphasized the need for followers of Christ to use the period of the Easter celebration to pray for God’s intervention over the insecurity facing the country, enjoined them to fear God at all times.

He told them to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement to security Agencies to help nip the challenge in the bud.

The Traditional Ruler particularly congratulated the people of Obajana Community, Kogi State and Nigeria in general, assuring of his continued commitment to the peace and progress of his domain.

Oba Isenibi felicitated with the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, Alhaji Mohammed Dan’asabe Mohammed on the occasion of the Celebration.

He also congratulated the management and Staff of Dangote Cement Company on the Easter Festival and prayed for the continuous prosperity of Obajana Kingdom.
