Eid El Kabir: Kogi Deputy Speaker felicitate with Muslims Ummah, urges faithfuls to emulate prophet Ibrahim’s virtues
The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed congratulated Muslims all across the Country, particularly faithfuls in Kogi State and Ankpa 1 constituency as we celebrate Eid El Kabir, while admonishing them to offer prayers for the country and Kogi State.
According to him, Eid-el-Kabir is a time of spiritual reflection and self-improvement, urging them to imbibe the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim, who, in obedience to God’s directive, was ready to sacrifice his only son.
He admonished the Muslim Ummah to reflect on the significance of the celebration, which he said bordered on encouraging piety, sacrifice and love, noting that without these, no state or society could advance.
“The significance of the season should be beyond the festivities. The real essence is to encourage piety, total commitment to Allah, self-discipline and sacrifice,” the Ankpa 1 legislator said.
He advised muslims to observe strictly COVID 19 protocols during and after the celebrations.
Happy Eid-el-Kabir Celebration.
