Eid-el-Kabir: Oparison Preach Peace, Unity.
As Muslim faithful all over the world celebrate the feast of Eid-el-Kabir, the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Security Matters in charge of Ogori/Magongo Local Government, Rt.Hon. Goke Oparison has appealed to the citizens to keep aside their prejudices and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and unity in order to keep the local government united.
The SSA in the Sallah message he personally signed, felicitated with Ogori/Magongo citizens particularly Muslims faithful, on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
He said: from the outset, I want to use this opportunity to thank everyone who have been praying,continual extension of goodwill and support for the betterments of the local government .
“indeed, your fervent and sincere prayers, which cut across religion, political divides, has energised me to re-dedicate myself and this administration to the task of building a great Ogori/Magongo.
“On the joyous occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, I appeal to all Ogori/Magongo citizens to rise against the odds, keep our prejudices aside and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and unity to keep our local government together.
“As we celebrate, I sincerely believe that our Local Government can make rapid progress on all fronts if we re-enact the exemplary virtues, typified by a Biblical (Abraham) Ibrahim, through his sacrifice, patience, steadfastness, and Obedience to Almighty God’s command and constituted authority
The Chief Security officer of Ogori/Magongo also added that “We must learn to see ourselves as brothers and sisters from the same heritage, who must come to terms with the African proverb that “a family tie is like a tree, it can bend but it cannot break”
