Festive Season: IDA President Sues for Love, Forgiveness and Unity

…Iyara AGM Holds on Monday 27th December 2021

The National President of Iyara Development Association in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Alhaji Aliyu Badaki has advocated love forgiveness and peace as Christians Celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Alhaji Aliyu in a statement he personally signed and made available to Newsmen said more successes could be achieved in any society where unity reigns.

“During this celebrations and beyond, let’s love one another devoid of status, quarter sentiments, religion etc. Let’s stop the spirit of run-down syndrome; Let’s appreciate people’s contributions towards the growth of our community and encourage them to do more; Let’s come up with different ideas that will bind us together; let’s be our brother’s keeper; let’s forgive ourselves for any misgivings and above all, let’s be prayerful” He pointed out.

“Despite our achievements, there is yet still so much to do to make Iyara the town of our dreams. We have set an agenda for ourselves, based on the input and suggestions you have given us. My team will remain focused in delivering on those agenda, which we hold with great passion. We plead for your total support to deliver on those aspirations.”

The President further stated that “Building on the foundation of the previous EXCO, there is no doubt that we have achieved a lot, to the envy of other communities.”

“We are succeeding because we are dutifully supporting the ideas that will lead to the growth and development of Iyara. I plead that we should not relent in doing so, even as we promise prudence and accountability.
We are succeeding much more because God is on our side. I plead that whatever happens, we should allow brotherly love, and good neighbourliness to continue.”

The President on behalf of the National Executives congratulated the people of Iyara Community both home and abroad on the Christmas Celebration and expressed appreciation to them for their unflinching support which has ensured the successes recorded so far.

“We are succeeding because we are united. I plead that we should continue in that spirit.
We are succeeding because we believe in ourselves to do the seemingly impossible. I plead that nothing should be allowed to break our ranks.”

Meanwhile, the Annual General Meeting AGM of the Association holds on Monday, 27th December, 2021 at Iyara Town Hall beginning from 10am prompt.
