Federal and state governments have been urged to imbibe the habit of fumigating their institutions of learning even after the Coronavirus pandemic to curb future spread of diseases in the country.
Dr. Abdullahi Alabi of the Department of Political and Governance, at the Kwara State University gave the advice in Ilorin.
He said the out break of the disease around the world calls for constant fumigation of the nation’s institutions especially institutions of learning which host Large concentration of citizens.
On economic effects of Covid-19, the University lecturer stressed that it is high time that the government look Inward and reduce the country’s dependency on oil by paying attention to diversifying the Economy to avoid falling victim of global challenges.
Dr. Alabi therefore called on government at all levels to pay attention to healthcare of citizens and diversification of the nation’s economy.
