Governor Bello Fowards Executive Bill, To State Assembly To Improve Secondary School Education.

In a bid to improve on the standard of secondary school education in kogi state, Governor Yahaya Bello has forwarded a bill for the establishment of Kogi state Senior Secondary Education Board to the state house of assembly.

Reading the forwarded bill during plenary on the floor of assembly in Lokoja, the Speaker Aliu Umar Yusuf said the bill which was an executive bill, followed the approval of the state executive council.

He said the bill sought to provide improved environment for teaching and learning as well as instructional materials to enhance Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics, STEM, in the schools.

The speaker further said that the bill would also provide support for training and retraining for teaching and non teaching staff with the sole aim of paving way for an overall development of secondary schools education in the state.
