Governor Bello Receives Delegation From the RMAFC, Leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello on Saturday , received the delegation from the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Abuja and the leadership of the Nigerian Labour and Trade Union Congresses in condolence.

The director of Special Duties in the commission, W. S. Idris said the commission as a whole is a mourner because the Governor is still part of the commission’s family. While urging the governor and his family to take solace in the accomplished life the late Matriarch had lived, he prayed that Allah grant the soul of Mama Aljanat Firdaus.

In his response, the Governor said the Commission remained his home that he is only on loan to the political field at the moment. He said the commission always stand with him at all times noting that in 2012 when his late mother was kidnapped, the commission stood with him in prayers until she regained her freedom after 93 days in captivity. He said his mother was a great disciplinarian and bridge-builder who lived a fulfilled life. He thanked the group for taking time to travel down to condole with him.

Earlier, The leader of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Comrade Onu EDOKA said their visit was to condole with the Governor over the demise of his mother. The Labour leader admonished that this world was not our home that Mama has just gone before us. He said Mama will continue to stand with the governor and other members of his family even in death. He said the entire workers of Kogi state including MDAs and teachers sent their sincere condolence over the death of the Governor’s mother, Hajia Hauwau Oziohu Bello who passed away on Sunday March, 15, 2020.

The Labour Union offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Matriarch.
