*Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Atabor Calls for Synergy as Igalamela/Odolu Inaugurates Legislative Council*
The lawmaker representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor, has called for collaboration and synergy between the legislature and the executive arms of government in Igalamela/Odolu local government area.
The lawmaker made the call during the inauguration ceremony of Igalamela/Odolu Legislative Council in Ajaka, headquarters of the local government.
“Cooperation between both arms of government will not in any way compromise the independence of the legislature, but pave the way for good governance in the local government area,” he said
He also called on the legislative council to come up with people oriented resolutions, motions and bills that are necessary for the growth of the local government area.
The Igalamela/Odolu Legislative Council was inaugurated by the Chairman of the local government area Hon. James Omachonu Onoja (earlier) today.
The event was also attended by senior officers of the local government, traditional rulers, organised labour, security personnel and civil society organizations in the area.
