HON. NDAKO IDRIS DISTRIBUTES WORKING TOOLS TO FISHERMEN FROM LOKOJA/KOGI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
The member of the Kogi State House of Assembly Representing Lokoja II in the House, Honourable Ndako Idris on Thursday, 29th October, 2020 presented over a thousand fishing nets and rolls of rope to fishermen from Lokoja 1, Lokoja II and Kogi L.G.A. State constituencies to aid their profession.
Hon. Ndako Idris, the Deputy Majority leader of the Kogi State House Assembly known for his philanthropic gestures expresses his willingness to continue to come to the rescue of the less privileged in the area and promised to do so as long as God gives him the strength.
He thanked Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State for supporting his second term in the Kogi State House of Assembly and promised to continue to support his administration in the state.
He equally informed the crowd that attended the occasion that he is greatly disturbed by the magnitude of flooding that swept across the state in 2020, in which many people lost their means of livelihood and even houses and hence, he thought it wise to restore back job loss by the fishermen.
The occasion was witnessed by a mammoth crowd who trouped to his residence to have a glimpse of the items donated by the Honourable member. It is gathered that this was the second relieve materials distributed freely by Hon. Idris, the Ambassador of Ethics and Conscience, in the last three weeks.
Goodwill messages were presented by various personalities across Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency of Kogi State as well and encomiums. All the speakers gave kudos to Hon. Idris for making them proud and happy as a good ambassador of the people. They thanked him for sharing and caring for them. They promised to continue to pray and support him in his future endeavour, especially in 2023.
Highlight of the occasion was the unveiling of a banner presented by Ndako Gallant Association anchored by Hon. David Ilujunka as well as presentation of new fishing nets and rolls of yarn rope to the beneficiaries, cut across tribal and political divides. They were rendering of local songs in honour of Hon. Idris.
