The 7th day in the month of March of every year will always be remembered in the life of Mr. Adepoju Oseborega Abdulraheem, an agile sport guru, administrator and philanthropist as he marks double celebrations viz: his sixtieth birthday and the twenty-sixth wedding anniversary today.
For many who may not know him here is a brief run-down of his bio-sketch.
Mr. Oseborega Abdulraheem Adepoju, is a sport analyst, he was born on 7th March, 1963 in Ogori in Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi State.
He attended Basawa Teacher’s College Zaria, Kaduna State and graduated in 1982 and a year later proceeded to Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin where he obtained his National Certificate in Education in 1986. Between 1994 and 1998, Oseborega was at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for Bachelor degree in Physical and Health Education. In the year 2004 he enrolled for Diploma in Computer Studies.
Agile Oseborega served as a secondary school teacher at various schools in the state, he equally acted as a principal in one of Universal Basic Education (UBE) schools in the state especially between 2006 and 2009. Due to his hard working nature, he was promoted and equally appointed to the position of vice-principal Academics, a position he held for eight years. In 2017, he was made the Director of Sports, Kogi State Teaching Service Commission, Lokoja, the position he held till his retirement from service in 2018.
Outside the classroom, Mr. Adepoju served as course facilitator in PHE (National Teachers Institute/NCE/DLS in 2003 and beyond. He is the physical Fitness Instructor for Man O’ War at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp at Asanya-Kabba, Kogi State. He is also a sport co-coordinator of Ogori Development Union (ODU) and Ovia Osese, an Ogori annual event that showcases beauty, culture and pride of the community in respect of young girls moving from childhood to adulthood in Ogori. As a result of his wide experience in sporting activities, Mr. Adepoju was brought in as physical fitness instructor with TAO FM radio station in 2004 and in 2015 he became TAO FM radio sports programme presenter on Saturdays.
Mr. Adepoju for long has demonstrated his strong love for sport right from the time he was in primary school, he was the hockey, volleyball and school relay captain at Basawa Teacher’s College, Zaria; hockey and relay team captain at College of Education, Ilorin as well as co-coordinator, Man O’ War in the same institution. He was the coach, Hustler Handball Club, Okene (1987-1990). Mr Adepoju is the Area Commander of Man O’ War for Kogi Central between 2004 till date and also doubles as its Secretary General for Kogi Command. He has been a member of the Police-Community Relation Committee (PCRC) since 2010 and he rose from divisional chairman to Area Commander and then to state acting chairman in 2014. Due to his good job in the PCRC, he was appointed the Zonal Financial Secretary for Kogi, Kwara and Ekiti zone and he served in that capacity between 2015 and 2019.
Mr. Adepoju is a recipient of several awards including medals and certificates especially during his days as a sport star in schools and colleges. He attended many conferences, workshops and seminars on sport administration within and outside Kogi State. He has presented well researched paper works at various conferences and workshops as a sport administrator.
Before and after his retirement as a civil servant, Mr. Adepoju has been a complete Ogori man using his God given talents and resources to uplift his community. He has strong passion for Ogori and has been in the forefront supporting the growth and development of his native land. He is kind and generous. He loves to see people around him.
His hobbies include organizing sport programmes, visiting and counseling.
Mr. Oseborega Abdulraheem Adepoju is happily married to Mrs. Evelyn Osinimu Adepoju, Shes the daughter of Pa Emmanuel Ajikobi Great Eregba master of the 70th Baba Ogori ( Ekefo) of bless memory , a school-teacher and their marriage is beautifully blessed by God with 2 girls and a boy.
His life has epitomized the highest ideal of excellence, diligence and integrity contributing immensely to the development of his dear community – Ogori. He has a number of records to his name, which we are all proud of.
Sir, as you celebrate your birthday and wedding anniversary along with your family and friends, I pray that the good Lord whom you serve will continually prosper you and your family, He will bless you with abounding health and many more years of personal fulfillment and outstanding service to humanity. As you clock 60 years on the planet earth today, it is a wonderful thing to thank 
God almighty for, for allowing you to see every minute of your life, a life no mortal can control. It is therefore good and proper we celebrate God and be appreciative of Him for sparing your life despite all the ups and downs. It is on this strong reason that I like other Nigerians use this medium to thank God who has graciously added a year to your age. We spiritedly felicitate with you on this special occasion of your birthday.
